Slice Small Finance Bank posts net profit in Q1 FY27, total income rises 38%

Digital banking startup Slice Small Finance Bank reported a 38.6% year-on-year jump in total income to Rs 413.8 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to Rs 298.6 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
The company reported a net profit of Rs 50.9 crore in Q1 FY27, as compared to a net loss of Rs 10.1 crore in Q1 FY26.
Its gross loan book grew 55% to Rs 5,098 crore as of June 30, 2026, from Rs 3,284 crore a year earlier, while deposits nearly doubled to Rs 5,765 crore from Rs 3,038 crore during the same period.
The bank's asset quality improved, with gross non-performing assets (NPAs) declining to 4.36% from 6.31% and net NPAs reducing to 3.24% from 4.66% as of June 30, 2026.
Its total assets increased 54% year-on-year to Rs 7,444 crore, while net worth rose 16.5% to Rs 896 crore. The Capital to Risk-weighted Assets Ratio (CRAR) stood at 18.2%, above the regulatory requirement.
Founded by Rajan Bajaj and Shikhar Sachdev, Slice operates as a full-stack bank following its merger with North East Small Finance Bank in October 2024.
The company has secured close to $400 million in funding so far including a $220 million in Series B round backed by Tiger Global and Insight Partners. The company was reportedly in talks to raise $50-100 million at a valuation likely under $1 billion against its last known valuation of $1.3 billion.
