Wealthtech startup AssetPlus raises fresh funding led by Nexus Venture Partners

Wealthtech startup AssetPlus has raised Rs 175 crore (around $19 million) led by Nexus Venture Partners.
Eight Roads Ventures and Rainmatter Fund participated in the funding round.
The Chennai-based startup will use the fresh capital to strengthen its technology and expand its product offerings.
India's wealthtech sector has been witnessing increasing investor interest as retail participation continues to expand.
The startup claims that it currently partners with over 18,000 MFDs across the country.
AssetPlus, which was founded in 2016 by Vishranth Suresh and Awanish Raj, provides a digital platform for Mutual Fund Distributors (MFDs) and investors, streamlining processes like onboarding, transactions, and reporting through technology.
In October last year, Dezerv secured $40 million led by Premji Invest and Accel's Global Growth Fund.
Early December last year, wealthtech startup ZFunds raised Rs 25 crore led by Elevation Capital. Later in the month, PowerUp Money bagged $12 million in its Series A funding round led by Peak XV Partners.
