Anthropic has said it has launched its newest model Claude Opus 4.5, which it describes as "the best model in the world for coding, agents, and computer use".
The AI startup's launch of the newest model comes in the same month, Google also rolled out its upgraded version of its model Gemini 3 while OpenAI unveiled GPT 5.1.
In a statement, Anthropic said that its newest version is also better at everyday tasks like deep research and working with slides and spreadsheets.
Apart from launching Claude Opus 4.5, Anthropic also released updated versions of Claude Developer Platform, Claude Code, and our consumer apps.
Anthropic also said that Claude has the "street smarts" to tackle malicious attacks by hackers and cybercriminals.
"Opus 4.5 is harder to trick with prompt injection than any other frontier model in the industry," it noted.
Earlier this month, Anthropic had said that a Chinese hacking group misused its Claude AI systems in September to run a highly sophisticated campaign targeting major organisations across the world, raising concerns about security
