Ema raises $77 million Series B funding led by Creaegis

Ema, an enterprise AI company that builds AI employees to automate workflows across functions such as HR, IT and finance, has raised $77 million in a Series B funding round led by Creaegis.

The funding round also saw participation from existing investors Accel, S32 (Section 32), Prosus Ventures, Hitachi Ventures and Wipro Ventures.

The Mountain View, California-based startup will use the fresh capital to scale its go-to-market operations, expand into new geographies including APAC and EMEA, and continue investing in its enterprise AI platform.

Ema was founded in 2023 by Surojit Chatterjee and Souvik Sen, who previously held senior roles at Coinbase, Google, Flipkart and Okta. The startup builds AI Employees that automate complex enterprise workflows across HR, IT and finance.

"Our customers are not running experiments; they are running their HR, IT and Finance operations on AI Employees at a scale of millions of interactions a year," said Surojit Chatterjee, CEO and Founder of Ema.

Creaegis Managing Partner and CIO Prakash Parthasarathy said Ema has demonstrated the ability to deploy AI at enterprise scale while delivering measurable outcomes.
