Clear, formerly Cleartax, recorded a 30% jump in revenue from operations to Rs 272.15 crore in the fiscal ended March 31, 2025 from Rs 209.84 crore in the previous fiscal.
Clear's net loss remained flat at Rs 95.62 crore in FY25 despite the revenue growth, the Entrackr reported citing filings with the the Registrar of Companies.
Total expenses of the tax and financial solutions provider grew 19% to Rs 369.16 crore during the fiscal as compared to Rs 310 crore in FY24.
Employee cost increased 10% to Rs 220.83 crore in FY25 from the previous financial year, including Rs 14.97 crore in non-cash ESOP costs. However, the employee benefits expense may decline in the ongoing fiscal year as the company laid off more than 16% of its workforce as part of a restructuring exercise.
The startup, founded by Archit Gupta, Srivatsan Chari, and Ankit Solanki, had raised $75 million in October 2021 led by Kora Capital and Stripe. Later in January 2022, it raised an undisclosed amount from Robinhood's Aparna Chennapragada and others.
