Go Digit General Insurance said it has received a notice from the GST department of Rs 14.99 crore along with interest and penalty as may be applicable.

The insurer received the demand-cum-show cause notice dated September 22, 2025, from the Commissioner of CGST Audit-I, New Delhi, it said in a stock exchange filing.

Go Digit added it plans to respond within the stipulated period, submitting supporting documents and evidence.

The insurer emphasized that the issue is under contention and has no immediate bearing on its financial or operational performance.

In June, the insurer had got a legal relief after the Bombay High Court set aside a Rs 170.29 crore GST demand issued by the Chennai South Commissionerate of GST & Central Excise.

Go Digit, which was listed on the stock exchanges last year, reported around 37% jump in net profit to Rs 138 crore in the April-June quarter as compared to Rs 101 crore in the same period year ago.
